Student Scholarship Application

Video Essay Question:

In Your opinion, what challenges and opportunities will your generation face in shaping the future of law enforcement, given the advancements in AI, public trust issues, declining recruitment and evolving legal standards?

Applicants for the BPOA Los Angeles Student Scholarship must meet the following criteria:

• Applicants must be graduating from high school or currently enrolled in a two-year community college, four-year college, or University.

• Applicants must have a G.P.A of 2.5 or higher.

• Applicants must be in good academic standing.

• Applicants must be sponsored by a current BPOA member.

• Applicants must submit a completed application and video by August 23, 2026.

Guidelines:

• Videos must be a minimum of three (3) minutes and no longer than five (5) minutes.

• Videos must directly address the scholarship topic.

• The application and video must be submitted no later than August 23, 2026.

• Videos must be the original work of the applicant.

• Accepted video formats include MP4, MOV, or a publicly accessible YouTube or Vimeo link.
